question about getting a hazmat endorsement

I have a question for all..i have a smuggling conviction its a federal offense i am looking into getting my class a and want a hazmat endorsement i called tsa and they said that its up to my investigator if i get it or not...does anyone think i can get it any solid info will help please and thank u

 

Smuggling in the past 7 years is a disqualifier but you can appeal and request a waiver.

Sounds like you're good to go. I'm pretty sure the time starts on the conviction date. 10 years have passed since your conviction.

 

Wow you can be convicted of farking Murder, Arson and Bomb Threats and still get your HazMat? I thought a few speeding tickets and a reckless in the 90s would have given me a hard time to get mine. I feel much less safe now. They are way too lax.

I got arrested in 2015 for possession of a stolen fire arm. Never been to court on this charge. Will this stop me from getting my hazmat
