question about getting your A from a B

    Hey everyone. i have a class B license and i got a job at a town and they need me to get my A so im studying for the permit. since i already have my B do i need to retake the general knowledge portion or just the combinations? im from MA if that matters. thanks!

    Call your dmv.

    Here it depends on what SoS you go to, some require everything if your cdl is over 2 years old and others don’t give a crap.

    The written exam is so easy, relax and take it.

    You pretty much do whatever you see on that electronic screen on test day. You would need to do a road test in a class A truck atleast

    I just went through this exact thing. In PA all I had to take was the combination test to get my permit.

    You have to do the whole test completely over with combination, pre trip, air brakes, etc
