Hubby and I use Alltel unlimited for $59.99 a month. I rarely lose my connection but it does slow down at times. We have used it up and down the East coast and over to Texas and so far, no big complaints. It pretty much works wherever the Alltel cell phone does. Biggest complaint is when crossing state lines, at least with the cell phone. Have not noticed any difference with the internet when crossing state lines, come to think of it.

I use Sprint (both for my cell phone and for my wireless broadband)
It has far better coverage (in my opinion) than Verizon or ATT. There are very FEW areas that I haven't used it, even in Bufu Wyoming. As a general rule; if I have even a tiny a cell phone signal, I have internet; even if it is slow as molasses.
In most areas it is fast and clean, particularly up and down the east coast (where I have documented a 1.5MBs download speed) and most places on the west.
Texas is good as is Louisiana and Mississippi.
Sprint is releasing 4G coverage soon that promises to be faster than T-1, exceeding 5MBs downloads. -
Which Internet service do OTR drivers use in their trucks? Is there such a thing as Internet service that goes wherever you go? If so, how much does it cost?

Many cell phone companies offer a internet card. Costs about 50 bucks
a month. I have used both at&t and verizon and I prefer Verizon. Check
their websites for more info.Permit09 Thanks this. -

Google a broadband company called Millenicom. They have a 10 Gig plan for $59.99. No contract and no taxes. You'll need to buy the hardware ($99.99 + $15.00 shipping) and will be charged a one time setup fee of $49.99. They use the Verizon and Sprint networks. They also have a 5 gig plan for the same price.
