Question about orientation drug testing procedures?

They just cut about 100 strands of hair near the nape of your neck and send it for testing. Most companies go 3-6 months back. If you don't get a phone call then you pass the test.

 

How exactly do you expect us to "be safe out there" while drug addicts are attempting to enter this industry? It puts us and everyone else on the road at risk!

as far as my wife, the nurse,says, the test can go back up to 6 months depending on hair length and amount of usage.
be aware: the pre employment drug test is merely the first step. once hired, you are constantly in a position where you can be called with no warning to take a random drug screen. if you do not plan on remaining 100% clean for basically ever, this is not the job for you. ive been called to come in a few times, and each time it was no warning...just come on in to the terminal and pee in a cup. a bit of a pita, but par for the course.
people upset by this have a reason to be. perhaps you are clean, and perhaps youll remain that way. but many who ask the question are looking to get around, sneak by, and then resume the drug use, making the roads less safe for everyone. while perhaps they should have a bit more patience with you, you, on the other hand, should realize this and have a LOT more patience with those that frown on the question. especially if you ARE clean and planning to remain so. a dui driver will make the roads less safe for you as well. as a truck driver you are safer than most. a car hitting you probably wont kill you, no matter how he hits, no matter how drunk or high he is. if you die as a truck driver, its gonna be because you roll the truck, or another truck hits you. thats a pretty good reason to have a problem with dui truck drivers, dontcha think?

 

what companies are doing hair folicle tests? hell, only reason why I was asking about drug test was all my buddies want to take me out to the strip club before I head on that Sunday to get drunk. I just wanted to make sure that when I get there on Monday and take the drug test I wouldnt fail over drinking some beers.

hair follicle test for alcohol? i dont think that applies. but id move that big going away party to saturday if i were you. the pee test will get you if you still have alcohol in your system. seems like a silly risk to take to me.
