Dude I just read this same thread and you asked the same question and your in school now good luck getting hired with weed in your system and I say that because if it's in your hair it's still in your system.I am 420 friendly but haven't done it in 6 months to a yr. but I still have friends I hang out with that do do it. I just quit got old and tired of it. I am not looking down on you or being negative just saying the truth companies don't want drugs or the feds to of any kind period and will not tolerate it just like the Millitary won't.If I were you and I wasn't going to a company school ect. I'd stay home after you graduate for a month or two at least 3 to make sure I was clean it's simply not worth the risk. Good luck to you though.

amazing how all the drivers with less than 2 yrs experience all seem to say " stay out of a truck if you have par-took in your life". Newsflash rookies get some more pavement under your belt and learn to back up, until you have at least 5 yrs under your belt then your " We truckers" will count because your are not a trucker you're just someone who drives trucks.

5 years, that's the magic number.

I wasn't trying to bust balls (pardon my french) but, as I read a lot of these post regarding the subject of people changing their lives and wanting to move forward in the trucking profession I notice that most of the comments stating " find a new profession or we don't want you on the road" happens to come from drivers who haven't been behind the wheel themselves for a long time. And my thought is kudos for making a change in their lives and wanting to reap the rewards of this industry. I can not understand passing judgement on someone who wants to better one's self and their quality of life. Now forgive me if I am wrong but, I have been driving for a few years now and can honestly say I haven't seen it all but the one thing I have seen time and again are drivers who've been driving 2yrs or less and think they have it all figured out. I come into contact DAILY with rookie drivers that can tell you everything you need to know about getting down the road but, can't slip a trailer in door 6 when door 5 & 7 are docked and there is only 300ft of parking lot in front of them with a ditch on the other side of the fence. So my point was don't pass judgement when your skills are still in the learning and building process. I say that on experience, I have been a heavy-haul flatbed trucker for 6 years and I learn something new every single day.
