I had pretty major surgery back in 07... removed last of my intestine and bowel... was split right down the middle so to say. I was sore needless to say. They had me on morphine which was not really helping at all. They wanted me to get up and start walking the day after and it was all I could do to sit up. The nurse asked if I was in a lot of pain... I nodded my head. They switched me to dilaudin and in about an hour I was up doing laps around the nurses station.
Morphine did nothing for me.

What ever he gives you, get it filled on the way home and start taking them right away, and stay on schedule. I took one every 4 hrs like clockwork, never had any pain.TruckerPete1990 Thanks this. -

I've had dental surgery and extractions .
Wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy. -
I took mine, (percocet) for 2 days then i didnt need them. This was after having the uppers extracted, WITH a BAD infection.. Only had local, No sleepie pills. I was awake for whole thing.
If you have ANY kind of infection going on, Take the antibiotics first before you go in...
That needle feels like a lightning rod in your mouth where the infection is... hurts like a mofo.
The swelling can be controlled with Nsaids very easily. I wore my plate from day one, And by the end of the 3rd day i was wearing it all day and night. just took it out to clean it, and to rinse mouth out
Its not as bad as they make it out to be.. -
