Question about percentage pay.

    Yeah. 25% of whatever the load nets. Throw in whatever you want to break down the net of the load. I'm still making a good wage. Never less than $250 a day. Sometimes as high as $400. Add cleaning supplies for the driver bathroom. I'm still banking on a 5 day work week.

    That's a offer I was given as a company driver just this morning. I came here to see if it was a decent offer. I'll be driving locally.

    Whether It's decent or not would be determined by the rate to the truck itself.
    Without that number it's hard to determine how decent the offer really is.
    Lot's of owner ops cutting their own throats and slashing rates.

    When pay is percentages, that is usually off the line rate and any accessories charges. Fuel surcharges are not included in that rate.

    I'll stay out of this. The only percentage I was paid (25% or so) was whatever the truck made that week in gross revenue, company took care of the fuel as a company driver. It was not a bad situation in those days.
