I still have the "Warning only ticket" stopped for inspection at Wichita, KS - October 2012, the DOT officer said: "....Off duty time does not count like a sleeper berth time, the state of Kansas will appreciate the money from the ticket you paying, but you don't want to give your hard earned money to them, right? He was good old guy with small white mustache ......and this saved my butt. He knew from experience that this is without deliberate intent .....

In the different states, different inspectors. And all go on different rules, as well as police officers. (from personal experience)

You've missed some changes. We are always do like that. And did`t have problem , tttt....

Or if something confuses you, I already gave an example above. Wake up 7:00 am go to off duty, and then sleep at any time you want.11:00,12:00 pm . For 10 hours sleep .Or 8 hours sleep + 2 hours before or after sleep.

Yes, I know how to make my logbook, but i never seen a document that defines: Off duty time can be used in the vehicle and be count like 10 hours in the sleeper....
