Most places frown on you arriving early.
They may not be ready to receive the product yet due to space or manpower shortages.
Its not rocket science, 70 hours in any 8 day period.
Keep in mind short days only return short days when they drop off.

I always try to rock around it if time permits.
Mister Ection Thanks this. -
Its scheduled to be ready Saturday afternoon with a delivery appointment of 8 AM Wednesday 1900 miles away. I will try to get it rescheduled for a day earlier. If that happens great, I can move on to the next load. If not my income is still protected even if I sit.
Last time I ran this round trip they loaded me quicker with a tighter delivery window and I didn't get a restart in. I only had 8-10 hours to run bumping my 70 and wound up taking 12-14 hour breaks in the truck stop.
That sucked because I could have gotten 8 or so hours of layover pay on the delivery end had I had hours to run with only 10 hour breaks. If you get paid layover its best to run hard with 10 hours breaks. -
I get home Friday and leave on Monday. couldn't run the clock, forgot how!! lol
