I run a c/v and have a folding sofa bench/sleeper from an old conversion van. When I have freight, I fold the bench in its couch position and can hold two pallets. If loaded I simply sleep on the couch. when unloaded, I fold the bench flat and have a nice bed to sleep on.
When traveling I will usually stop in truck stops, rest areas, sometimes the consignee where I deliver freight to.
I do know alot of expediters will sleep in Walmart parking lots.

I drive a 12" cutaway van with a twin size bed built in behind the seats. I have 9' of cargo area, aprox. 6' tall. It's quite comfortable. I stay out 2 or 3 weeks at a time...

Letzrock, I'd love to see pics on how you set up your van. it seems alot of people are going to the cutaway van with a cube and building in a nice sleeper area. Who do you drive for?

I'm with Tri-State. I'll find some pics to post here.

And they will unload the van for $2.

That is pretty #### funny

Does anyone know if there are any companies that use cargo vans for West Coast/Southwest/Northwest work? I am a veteran big rig driver, ex O/O, looking into it. Any advice or suggestions will be welcome.

>>>>Question about van driver's sleeping options
I have 3 options, on my back, belly or side!
teddy_bear6506 Thanks this. -
I quit the big truck and switched to the Van. Expedite is really different but at least I don't have to fight for parking or even mess with Logs. -
What makes good Window covers?
For now I have just Tinted windows in the back with a curtain by the front seats and one of the windshield sunlight reflectors.
However I've seen other vans that look like they put reflectors in all of their windows. Do they just buy more windshield reflectors and cut them up into smaller pieces?
