Welcome to the real world of trucking. All that jazz they taught you in school. Rip out like a loose leaf log on a 24 hour run.

I would fail that air test thing. So how do you do it again? Believe me you will know when you loosing air. I sure hope you aren't still double clutching?

Let's be real. You know darn well you aren't suppose to be working and not logging it. Go home and come back and do your run. But you want to be home with the old lady every night. So some rules you may just have to break. Just get plenty of rest because bubba in cell block C will make you his cuddle buddy if you hurt somebody driving tired.

Team drive with my husband. He does his post trip and I do my preteip. Separately. Both logged.

When we return from a 34 hour, we both complete a pretrip. One checks and the other double checks. Only first driver logs. Roadside assistance can take 5-10 hours. We don't want to break down.

I would be concerned with a company that doesn't want you to waste time completing a pretrip. I would definitely pretrip and post trip. a truck in your situation.

Here's my two cents worth. If you quit you might make things bad for yourself. If you don't do what they say, you might get fired and that's worse for you. If you keep doing what they tell you to do, you might get caught in violation on the road, and then get fired. Way worse for you. But then again, if you stand up, they might back down. Try to get proof that they are telling you to do what you say they're telling you. Like record it. Are you the only one working this way? Do what you're supposed to according to regs, and if they fire you, blow the whistle. You have something to clear your record and compensate you.

I'll do one every couple of weeks or so, if something I was doing hasn't pulled the air down enough to make the buzzers go off more recently.
