    Where are you at?

Meaning the location of the building.

AND How much do you want to spend?

OK the reason I am asking is I need to know if you are in a high wind area or can there be an antenna mount that uses the mast and anchor it to the wall.

See there are small antennas that can be used, they have to be up above the metal roof a bit to be effective but that can be solved by using building mounts that hole the masting. the question is how many would you need, two or three mounts to hold the mast.

You can put a couple feet into the ground, get two sections of 10 foot pieces of mast and then put a small antenna like a small tram antenna that is made for short distance communications.

it does yes from time to time encounter some good wind, im just really trying to get something as effective as possible with minimal physical size, i also deal with 80' tall piles of rock through out the yard

the rocks don't matter, the wind sometimes matters.

Using the mounts anchored to the building, you can put up a mast 20 feet or maybe 25 feet up, getting above the roof line and then stick a small antenna up on top of it, giving you what you want. The cost is reasonable and the performance will be inline with what you need. Plus the simplicity make life easier.

By the way, this is what i have on my pool barn for 2m.

Shouldn't be, but you are talking about a limited range, right?

Since in the OP you mentioned it being in a scale house, that eads me to think you're just wanting communications around the yard. If that's the case, a good magnet mount on the sheet metal roof shoud work just fine.
