Just for clarification:
You have thumb and two fingers on each hand?
You can not be a trucker because that changes the location of the "middle finger" and no one will recognize it! Hahahaha
I hope that was funny. I don't mean to offend. I am northwest of Chicago and drive intermodal with KLLM. Home every night.

I whacked off a few fingers on my left hand some time ago in a different life, before I started truckin. Honestly bro no one has ever said a word about it, most don't even notice it, and frankly I would just proceed like it's no big deal. As long as you can do the work....not just shifting and steering but climbin up in the trailer and stuff. Only you know your limitations right?
Probly bad advice but I'm of the mind that you just steam forward and realize your dream.echosid999 and Rock 'n Roll Relocater Thank this. -

But then again I guess one can argue are the fingers considered missing? If you are born without them they were never there, so maybe that doesn't count as missing.Last edited: Dec 17, 2015

You must have Ectrodactyly. I know 2 brothers that have that except instead of thumb and 2 fingers they have what looks like a lobster claw on both hands. Both these guys were called up by the selective service for the draft into the military. One brother was inducted into the Army and the other was rejected because of his hands, even though both brothers have the same. Probably 2 different doctors gave the examination. He was really PO'd because he wanted to serve in the Army and the other brother didn't really want to serve. A few years later when he was telling me about it, I asked why they didn't just swap paperwork. He looked at me and yelled, "DANG, why didn't we think of that?" The brother that went into the Army served a tour in Vietnam as an infantryman and came home ok and went back to civilian life.
