question for experienced liquid bulk haulers

    The insulation is compressed between the wrapper skin and the barrel. Trailers specified for extra high temps got an extra inch or two of insulation b/4 the skin is applied. This the opposite of your home where the insulation batts are left 'fluffed' up w/ air.

    I've always had to rely on the insulation to keep a load from gelling. Ran a load of molten wax last winter from the Richmond, CA to Longmont, CO. Spent about two hours with a Bernz-o-matic torch to get the valves open. Hopefully the new tank will have a steam pan.
