New to the Total owner operater. Running my own authority, insurance, everything. No Broker involved. Got this Job about hauling 6ftx3ftx3ft concrete blocks around 6,000lb. Each Approx.. 26 of them they will be loaded and unloaded. I just chain them and drive. OKC -Edmond area approximately 40-45 miles. Per trip. I would have to rent a flatbed or he is willing to either way. I've never bid a job where there was no middle man. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you've gotta have a minimum and your minimum is got to be out of price that you can actually make money. I don't know what your flatbed situation is, but I would not haul those loads for any less than $500 per load.

Yea I don't have a flat bed I'd have to rent one. Or he even offered to rent one. He don't have a clue where or how. So it's in my interest to do that and make small profit off it also. Me myself was thinking 4 grand including trailer rental. But I've always had the brokers putting there hands in it first. Wasn't sure about pricing on it. Is that to steep you think??
Thanks for your input always appreciated.

That's a good idea also depending on how quick you get loaded and how quick you get unloaded. But you mentioned it would be done in one day so I figured four loads at $500 would be two grand would be a great day.
But @Ruthless does this kind of work way more than I do so I'm sure that's what he was thinking.

I'm leaning towards the flat rate. Thanks. I normally do dry van. But I'll do what ever if I have to.
