Question for lease operators

    He is putting this new female over his responsibilites as a father. I am beyond livid about this. He blocked my phone number from his phone. I go see someone about child support on this Tuesday. I have no idea what is going on, all I know is that he is lying about where his tractor is and what he is doing. I am just trying to find out about this money situation because I can't support a child on my own, nor should I have to.

    So since Prime does not hold any checks then he is either in the hold or quit. He does not have an emergency fund, he got into this lease straight out of training. He has only been in his lease for about a month to 6 weeks including these last 2 weeks he has not been on the road.

    You need an attorney. There's a good probability he turned the truck in and quit.

    I did 3 leases at Prime. Any and ALL repairs are done out of his maintenance escrow account with that money is deducted on a weekly basis according to how many miles he ran that week, thats how it was when I was there. The only reason they would hold his money is if he had no money in maintenance account and they are waiting for final bill. If he stepped into a truck someone else turned in that truck would have a maint already established because if you quit you lost that money and it stays with the truck till lease is completed. Thats how it worked when I was there and granted I left there in 1999 and I'm sure the contract has changed quite a bit now. The transmission should be a warranty repair, lease trucks are generally a 3 year lease with a pretty good warranty. If truck was new when he got into it everything would be covered under warranty for up to I think 100k miles. If he quit they would more than likely hold his pay to make sure everything with his truck has been paid and there are no outstanding debts to be paid while he operated that truck.

    All fixed payments, insurance etc still accumulate even though the truck is in the shop so more than likely he is also in the hole to Prime.
