Question for O/O

I wish I could get 1.70 a mile every company I check out taps out about 1.10 before fuel Surcharge. I’m on the site reading everyday and hear 2 a mile all the time. UPS, FEDX,Fowardair All of them is around $1 a mile. They advertise different until you check it out. 1.45 means 1.10 plus 35cents fuel Surcharge. But I see guys with new trucks pulling there trailer. They must not have much bills at home. I’m still trying to see where you can gross $5000 to $7000 in 7 days.

 

Klb and paying me correct was a nightmare. Just my experience but wouldn’t recommend them.

 

Only way to gross $7,000 a week is with your own authority and hauling for a customer that has great freight! If your not afraid of the weather then Northeast has some good paying freight...

 

I think it’s fair to say an owner operator leased to a company is going to average about $3500 to $4500 a week gross. Running 2500 miles a week

 

I got a buddy at CFI who is leased on with a Glider truck... He tells me that they pay for everything except fuel and he tells me that he gets around $1.02 cpm plus .27 FSC... He says he runs approx 3200 miles per week and after fuel he takes home around $2500 a week... $2500 is not a lot of money for bustin your balls out here on the road...

 

Gonna help a bit. Everyone you mentioned in here you should stay away from. Second you guys that pull out of the driveway for them numbers should be ashamed of yourself. You are the reason rates are that low. You take them and they offer them. Say No to Cheap Freight! It takes 1.73cpm to operate a truck and trailer and pay a driver (owner) a decent wage. But remember you need the business to profit too!

 

I've done $7k to my truck solo where I'm at as a lease op. It's only happened twice but I've a had a few $6k weeks quite a few $5k but usually its in the $4-5k average. That's at Prime but I had to run my ### off to do that.

 

How many miles did you have to bust out to get that 7k

 

I uploaded a pic of the settlement. With that said the week after that was $4,3k after that I had a 3,8k then a $6,2k week That was Oct into 1st week of Nov, since then it's died a lot.

The $4k to mid 5k gross weeks were pretty common for me in the summer but since the Tarriffs started I noticed a decrease. I honestly don't know if its the Tarriffs or not but that's my hunch. I'm still doing ok but it's more like lower $4k and into the upper 3k since Nov..

I run pretty hard though and I dont go home a lot. I'm also good at running my clock. I do what I need to do, to get my self in a position to have drive hours soon as I'm unloaded. If that means I leave at 2am to get to my 90 early enough to get a reset by the time I'm unloaded then I do it. I do everything possible to be ready for my next load and I dont shy away from 34's. If I can slip in a 34 reset on a load by running hard to get there early I do it.
