3800 miles is a lot just to make 7k... I made $7000 in july off one load to seattle, it was a 1,985 mile journey from joplin, mo
jamespmack Thanks this. -
Yeas, but I'm fairly new still just a year an a half driving so its not like I'm a owner op with my own numbers. I run a lease truck at a mega, so if I want to make that kinda money I had to do it the hard way.
Keep in mind by doing that, I set myself up so I can now buy my own truck and will not run that hard in the future. I turn my lease truck in 2 weeks from now and I take a well deserved break for a bit.. lol -
how long are you looking to take off
-
Till spring most likely, but it all depends how the truck hunt goes. I can't see much reason to run during the bad freight months if I don't have to.
I've been watching for the right truck/right deal but I've missed several because no way to go see them when Im running loads. Will be a bit easier to actually go truck shopping if I don't have to be 5 states away.. lolLast edited: Dec 20, 2018

You ran 4,354 all miles in one week, on an ELD?jamespmack Thanks this.

Yes, in a governed truck @ 65 and was on recaps. That's the most Ive done but prior to that I did back to back 3,700 weeks last summer. I dont do those kinda weeks often. Usually I'm , 2,5k to low 3k miles.

Ill eat a big old bowl of warm dog dudu if you ran those miles on ELD with prime 67.5 mile per hour truck! Good luck gents. Its not about how much you make. Its about how much you keep!
