no it doesnt stand for 1st ID. my mos was 88m of course and i was in 66th trans co over in Ktown germany. my platoon sgt started the big red nickname cause i was notorious for chewing it when i got there from AIT so instead of learning my name first he learned the scent of the gum i chewed.. and it stuck pretty good. that was my call sign in iraq too

Remember its a two week interview, act accordingly. $100 would be tight for me but maybe not someone else. Theres no fridge in the rooms (unless that changed since I been there) and once a week (or more if they are nice) they stop at Walmart or if you buddy up with someone that drove there. My roommate had his own car and it was nice, of course everyone wanted to be his friend lol.

From the sounds of it your hair doesn't sound extreme at all so I think you'd be good.

    Good luck

Really? Why are you asking these kinds of questions? If this is how you wanna roll, you'll probably be alot better off with somebody else. They dont call TMC the Truckers Marin:biggrin_25510:e Corps for nothing.

I would recommend the plane. I am starting week 4 with my trainer this week. I flew there for orientation. The first few days you will hear all the stories of the guys sitting on a bus for 30 to 40 hours. One of my friends arrived Monday morning the day of orientation with time to check in and drop bags then get on the bus. He caught the bus in SC on the Friday before. Good luck also!

The bus ride for me would be 29hrs from Virginia. Sucks but the closes airport to me would be Knoxville TN and thats 3 1/2 hrs away. And the tickets are $350.00, Bus is 170.00 so I may go the plane way but hate to spend the money. Id be able to buy that camera, and heating blanket with the money i would save from the bus ride. But we'll see. How are away did they find a trainer from you. Im worried mine will be far away and how is it drivin, does the trainer make you drive all the time or is it a team drive?
