Any of you ever run their Midwest Regional? Any info on average mile and typical home time? I have read some people's posts from 2-3 years ago stating 8 day out 34 hr home, but looking for some newer information.
I know they told me 2300-2700 miles, but Melton told me 2500 average (I NEVER saw 2500 miles in a week).
Any information is good. Thanks

I used to dispatch midwest regional flatbeds. 5 to 7 days out, 34 to 48 hours at home. Always try to have a load on you thru the house. Mileage varied, but about 2100 per week was average. Depending on where you live and how many times you keep it to 34 hours at home you can increase those miles.
Or at least that is what I remember. -
Thats not too bad. I know sometimes it is hard to get good weekly miles if you are home evry week.

My guess is things have gotten better, the guy that replaced me is far more professional than I ever was (or want to be). My guess is driver utilization and revenue are up on the regional fleets. The FM that is running it now is a good guy and I'm sure he'll treat you right.

Prysimian cable in SC, loaders in Prentice WI, snowplows in Iron Mt MI, two pipe places in WI. A fair amount of Felker Bros in Marshfield and KY. A lot of loads in the main yards of Marshfield WI and Gary IN will be loaded but when you get away from WI or Gary you will be on your own. I liked doing it myself, after they bumped the tarp pay up anyways. Then I knew it was secured properly.

Most of the Midwest guys I know see 2300-2500 miles and out 5-6 days when freight is decent. It is tough work though. Usually unloading and reloading every day, then running 400+ miles and constantly dealing with Chicago. I would prefer the 14/7 if you live by a terminal. Longer runs, set schedule, and decent time at home.
