My own driving experience found that if you chose to drive through the night and say stop around 1-2 am you got no park lots of times i was forced to park at a wal-mart bless there kind heartedness who would actually tolerate us parking there in the wee hrs of the morning , i'm actually amased how any drivers did any driving cause around 9am you'd think they'd be all out on the highway but no there all parked up at the flying j not me mate by 9am i would have 3 hrs down time on the highway. .

I prefer driving at night. I like to drive midnight to noon. Works well team driving. Probably not so well solo but if i can make it work i will. much more parking in the daytime.

myself, i almost always sleep at my drop or pickup. if I am on a longer run and have to sleep in-route i try for a rerst area. I have discovered if its full if you wait for awhile someone will pull out. walmarts sometimes, weigh stations too. once in a while i stay at atruck stop but very seldom. but, my hours vary, i run when i need to run, sleep when im out of time. but, im lucky enough to be home every weekend. also, grain elevators, abandoned warehouses, closed gas stations, a big lots once. im pretty creative and can almost always find a place.

I am only a few months into my driving and it seems most of my loads have late PM pickup times.
I love night driving, except for the dark...
No traffic, Imagine driving through chicago seeing 20 cars instead of 10 thousand.
Less scales open to stall you or get pulled 'round back for a looksee.
Tons of empty spots at the TSs as well as no shower lines.
