That is good advice. I was with TMC for about a year, and don't have any beef with the company per say, but it is highly important to get to know your Fleet manager, and Team leader very well. Make sure they are doing the job for you. If yours doesn't make you the money you want, then move to get a different one. Another tip is that the sooner you get unloaded on a Monday, the more chance you have of catching a good load, and making money. They work on a FIFO system for loads there, and in this economy with shrinking production I would park at the consignee the night before whenever possible.

It is very difficult for any one person to say what TMC is and isn't, it varies dramatically from person to person. I've seen drivers who have been here for a decade and wouldn't think about leaving, and I've seen drivers who have been here almost that long that are gone the minute they find another job. Every person is different. All you have to do is read through the TMC threads and you can get a good feel for both sides.

Is or will TMC be hiring in the vermont area soon? I do want to go work for them.......... if anyone works for them could u tell me, and also i heard a rumor that they are going with international trucks ? is that true?

I don't know about Vermont, the hiring line is expanding again though. As far as the Internationals go, somebody asked about this at the Issues meeting and at the TQM class and it seemed pretty much certain that TMC is sticking with Petes. I don't think they are buying any trucks this year though, time will tell.

After last year CAT is no longer making the engines, which was what the buzz was about with switching trucks. Time will tell what will happen, I guess.
I certainly don't see him buying freightliners, to be honest. If it is international, i'd be willing to bet he buys lone stars.. Those things are purdy. >.< -

Again? You make it sound like it happens often, I like your childish attempt at sarcasm.
I'm not going to spend my time researching what's not important, it was merely a comment, i heard this from the CAT people that were tuning the engine on my truck, I guess they were wrong. Or they were perhaps referring to the fact that CAT is no longer making the engines under the same name?
Or perhaps no longer making engines for peterbilts? No idea.
Not really that important, was just a side comment. If you're right, then thank you for the correction I guess? Heh. -
