My last job was just driving local and was back at the shop every night. They cleaned the windshield for me at night. This is my first time OTR so am learning how to do stuff on my own. Sounds like the tires are the way to go so will try that.
Yeah but as a rookie company driver I only make $34 a week so can only clean it once a week.

Ahh, I wondered how the shorter folk (I'm 6') did the windshield. I can just barely get it all on my tiptoes. Never thought of just popping the hood. I usually have the problem of making things too complicated and overlooking the simplist solution. Now my 5'3" GF can't say she can't clean the windshield while I fuel because she is too short.

Keep a spray bottle with an inch or two of ammonia, a squirt of dish soap and the rest water in your door pocket. When you first get out to fuel, spray liberally on the glass.
Start fueling.
Scrub and spray as needed.
That stuff that the truckstop keeps in the buckets is usually little more than toilet water and the ammonia really attacks the bugs. Makes it much easier. -
I did a short stint cleaning windows once, until I ended up at the top of a fully extended 24' extension ladder practically hugging the window I was trying to clean. I'm not afraid of heights, but that was a bit too much! -
Dawn seems to be very effective.

Well today I opened the hood and it worked like a charm. Thanks y'all

Look at the bright side. You can crawl under the trailers easier.
