    3 to 5 years. This will not only allow you to save money, but it will also give you more than enough time to decide whether or not trucking is for you. The biggest mistake you can do is jump into financing or leasing a truck as a student driver. You'd be setting yourself up for failure.

    Thanks Ghost Ryder. I don't think I would ever lease a truck. Heck, I won't even think about leasing a car, in fact, I hate the idea of leasing. My sister leased a Dodge Caravan and then deicided to buy it, when she told me how much she had to pay to buy the van at the end of the lease, I knew she was paying 1.5x what she would have paid if she had bought it outright.
