question on home time and teams

    hi, everyone. i have been out of trucking since 05 and have narrowed it down to builders transport and us xpress. i have a friend that is thinking of getting his cdl and wanting to team up. i have 2 questions

    1. although i live in NC, i also have some family in florida and would like to take some of my off days other than at home. Can you do that at us xpress??

    2. if my friend gets his cdl's and i am already driving for us xpress will i be allowed to change teammates if he get's hired??

    Yes you can do home time where ever you want to as long as you are routed in that direction. As for the teaming thing, you can run solo and and then train the other person and then team with them, but as always call USX recruiting and ask to be sure.

    so as long as i give them 2 weeks or so and let them know if they can get me something to florida i should be good to go? thanks alot. how do u like driving for us xpress??

    Just getting started with all of this. the home time thing is what they have told us. You can take home time where ever you want as long as you have a load in that direction. I would let your DM know that you would like to have home time in XXXX and I was told that they would do what they can for you to accommodate it.
