whats up all/any. Can someone explain the additionally insured policy, specifically how it protects a shipper in the event of claims? Thanks in advance!
Additional insured means that your insurance company will notify another company specifically by name in writing of the status of your insurance policy.
It is how your customers know that you are insured, some States require brokers to have the "Additional Insured" notice on file for every truck they hire.
Customers know that their product is insured while in transit and Brokers can know the same by being on the list of who your insurance company sends an "Additional Insured" notice to.
