Get a new job, one that doesn’t deal with Concentra. Anymore if they i’m of the opinion that if they don’t let you handle your own medical card, they don’t need you as an employee

We have places around this area that do nothing but DOT physicals.

Now if you want the company to pay for it you have to go to Concentra, but to me $90 is worth not having to deal with their looking for any reason to stick you with what @JB7 just got slammed with, not to mention the 5 hour wait at 3 AM when you’re the only person in the place.

It really is a moot point.
A company decides where and with whom you take the physical or it lets you decide. Those are the only two options.
The driver may not have much choice with the employer if they have bills to pay or need to eat.

But if he really thinks about which doctor to choose if he has a choice it would be to his advantage to pay out of pocket. The rip off of being forced to pay for a sleep apnea test, the equipment and upkeep and the maintenance is ridiculous. Why if you have a 17" neck or are a few lbs. overweight do some of these "medical professionals" say you have to have a CPAP. I am 6'1", 210 lbs., and have a 17" neck size and nothing has changed since I was 18 except my waist size. I retired at 62 after 44 years driving and at 77 tomorrow I feel good and have 6 mo. check ups and most charts say that I am 30 lbs. overweight. Been this all my life and I will never have a sleep apnea test or CPAP.

Same here. The Dr. i use transitioned a number of years back. Now all he does is DOT physicals. He does well for himself with all the o/o’s and dump truck outfits around
