Dang it boy! I've been working for Swift for just about 10 years, if what you are saying about the no touch freight is true I must have gotten every drop and hook and live unload Swift had! In all my time here, I think I have done a driver unload or driver assist 2, maybe 3 times. I sure do appreciate all the other drivers doing all the unloading!

Chinatown, funny you just post that, I am looking at their site as you posted. Looks pretty good, anyone else have any opinions on Stevens for training and 1st job? I know most of the starter companies have their goods and bads, and probably mostly bad, however, once we get our year under out belt, we can go anywhere.

I haven't worked there, but the Stevens drivers posts I've read say the training is excellent.

only way you can get an inverter installed is if you have sleep apnea and need the machine

i've only had a couple driver unload in the 1.5 yrs i been here. unless you're on those dedicated accts. that require you to unload, swift really doesn't want drivers to unload. though there are custumer that require it too

Just a heads up this is but a small taste of what your gonna hear driving their trucks let me tell ya until you build a name for yourself and people start to recognize you everywhere you go your gonna hear a swift joke these are amongst the most common

swift..sure wish i finished training, slow wagon in fast traffic, swing wide its a freaking trailer, sure wont incure fastlane tickets, sure wish i'd floored it there, see werner i'm a ftard too,#### will it freaking turn, student with incompetent freaking trainer, sure wish i'd found traction, see what i freakedup today,Stupid-drivers Will Intimated Fourwheelers by Tailgating,Stop Whining I'm freaking trying, sedated while in fast lane of traffic, sure we're insured for that, sure wish i'd freakin turned, six wrecks in first trip,Sure, We'll Intentionally Forestall the Truckscales, students will inevitably fubar transmissions,Slow Weak Incompetant Fat 'Truckers'

there's more where that came from but lets move onto the jokes

how can you tell if your wife is cheating on you with a swift driver?
A he'll still be trying to back out of the driveway a week later when you get home:p

Q: What does a Swift Driver and a Peterbilt 379 have in common?

A: Neither of'em seem to be able to turn at the right moment... and when they do, it's too little, too late.

Q: What also does a Swift Driver and a Peterbilt 379 have in common?

A: They're both not worth the headaches when trying to back up in the yard (or on the open road for that matter), and they're both scrapable.

Q: Then, what's the difference b/w the two?
A: One's worth more than the other... (guess which one's expendable.) :p

Sure Wish I'd Found a real Trainer

This part is not to bash on swift just to give you a heads up on what to expect wish you luck in whatever decision you make

I helped unload a trailer once.

I had to, the chick driving the forklift was a hottie and it was about 90 degrees outside. She was dressed for the conditions :biggrin_25526:.
