Question with engine light/shut off

    I lease a freightliner evo 2015. The engine cutoff opti idle is turned off but certain nights when the truck hasn't run for over 8 hrs the truck will blink and shut off when started . After starting 3 or 4 times it goes back to normal.
    The truck will blink and shut off even when driving so I know it's not opti idle.
    It seems maybe the oil pressure , it might be high when cold- causing light and shut off . and then warm up which is why it stops doing it after a few starts-also note I rev to 1500 until it cuts off the first few times . Then it stays running and no problems at all.
    Any thoughts

    I see this is your first post to the forum. Welcome and good choice choosing a FTL for your lease.


    I think you should review OI for your unit. Please see video below.



    Your explanation is a little confusing.
    Which light is blinking? There's several of them...and this might be normal given the conditions.
    Do you have any fault codes? If you do, list them in SA/SPN/FMI format.
    Another thing to consider is that since you are leasing this truck, it might be worth while to drop it off at a certified FTL dealer if there is indeed a legitimate problem.
