In almost every video clip I could find online of a trucker making a mistake. The other trucker filming always seem happy that the other driver messed up. Why is that??

Where do u find that so I could see for myself?I've seen videos of truckers filming others messing up but did'nt pay attention to the person filming as being happy the other driver doing something stupid.

cause as drivers we hate everyone....no but really quite a few drivers like taping Rookie drivers cause it does provide entertainment....other times its for liability.....but true old school drivers would help rather than watch someone #### it up......those that watch and tape generally are the new breed...and dont really care.......watch trucker steve videos...they mybe old but he does a decent job....also eskimo sean too

Shame of it is, I am a new driver. Almost to my 1 year mark and even I wouldn't video tape some one messing something up. If I see that they are about to hit something I will air horn. If I see them almost do it again, I will air horn and get out to help.

I remember when I was in some backwood area in Tennessee (Temple-Inland (I know someone else owns them now)) they have their bales stacked so far out it forces a blind side back. A older lady was trying every possible way to back sight side but coming extremely close to jack knifing or hitting the fence. It took almost 20 minutes to get her out of the situation she forced and 5 minutes to get her into the dock once I got her setup. That little bit of effort goes along way but people lose sight or actually plain out don't care that we are all out here together.

What is 25/30 minutes of my time? Nothing. Specially since I'm already waiting to be loaded.

It's amazing to me that a trucker would stop to videotape another trucker messing up. This is one industry where everyone should come together to try and make things better for everyone. I am a new driver but that's the approach I am taking.

Son you have a lot to learn about this industry...this is one of the most cut throat eat em up and spit them out kind of industries...weakness doesn't survive in the american trucking indusry....

Your pretty much right. i've noticed you've got to worry about yourself and not expect anyone to help.
On the other hand, drivers are for the most part nice people, its ok to ask questions, but at the end of the day your out there by yourself. This just isn't a "lets all get through this together" kind of job.

Yeah I see that. I plan to pretty much keep to myself. But won't say no if anyone asks for help.

Thats is just how the industry works...you have to ask...you cannot expect someone to comeout and hold your hand just because your having trouble...you either have to grow the balls to ask for help...or figure it out on your own......but I do find that drivers are generally the nicest bunch of people I find...I just wouldn't trust them with my teenage daughter (really she's 2 but you get my drift)...
