Hey, Mule. I spent wednesday night at DEC SVC. I usually sleep at the BP at exit 322 but needed fuel so I came on up to the yard.
Quiet and peaceful and the folks inside seemed real nice and laid back.

Hey, TRUCKERSWIFE06, thought this would be of interest to you and your husband, in light of what's developed.
This is from our weekly newsletter, which we recieve by email each week.

    ReThinking Pays Off:
Dollar General picks our team for two big awards[IMG]
Dollar General is one of the nation’s largest discount stores, with nearly 8,500 stores and 72,500 employees across the country.
Many of those stores and employees depend on our team to deliver the products they sell. That’s why we’re happy to report that Dollar General recently awarded two big awards to our team: LTL Carrier of the Year 2009 and Carrier Partner of the Year 2009.
Our willingness to be flexible and innovative in meeting Dollar General’s transportation needs in several areas, including LTL, truckload and dedicated services, helped us win these prestigious awards.
“We’re very proud to have earned this recognition from such a well-known organization as Dollar General,” said Gary Sasser. “Our team is dedicated to providing all of our customers with the absolute best service possible, and these awards help to reinforce that commitment.”

I would wager a guess that you will get a road test. I do believe that every company gives a road test whether it be an automatic or standard.. but I could be wrong :D

I am looking to be hired by this company as well.

It depends on what truck is available at the time. When I went through, they had one of each and gave us a choice. They want you to be comfortable.
All of the '07s and newer are autoshifts. The only 10 speeds left are the '05s and '06s.
I would say you most likely will test in auto, since that's all we will have before long.
