I do agree somewhat but the double digit Galaxy "10 meter" SSB radios will drift just as much on SSB.I would not say it is real bad, like the Swans or Siltronix Camanche 1011d, they stablize after warming up.Some people do not want or need the "extra channels" or the other features that come in the double digit radios. Some may want to keep it legal and in that case the triple digit radios are a good choice for them.

No, I am not jelouse (jealous), I own or at have owned all most all of the Galaxy export radios, except some of the latest models.I have owned many of the pre-DX Galaxy radios as well.I occasionally use a Galaxy Pluto that I bought back in the 80's.This radio is very stable on SSB.I changed the mixing crystal to gain the novice/technician portion of the 10 meter amateur band.I have received good reports with it from all over the world. Some hams are surprised if they ask and I tell the what I'm using.

Not at all, people can spend or waste their money on whatever they choose. Is there more than one CB band now?????

Actually I have two 959's.I buy my radios at wholesale, not at retail from the Fly J. You'd be surprised at the mark up the importers pass on to the wholesalers.

Ok you think a tripple digit is as good or better then the double digits. I too can buy my radios at wholesale it not too complicated to do if you have a coworker that has a dealers license. But I don't see a need to have EVERY galaxy radio. Yes there are different cb frequencys one per channel. You would be suprised the mark up on all radios not just the exports. Its how busineses make a profit on selling them. They buy them in bulk and get an even better pricewhen they buy more quanitity. I just can't see spending the money on a say 939 when you can have a nicer radio with more features for less. Its like buying a cobra 29 and having talkback, echo, upper and lower chanels, and different finals installed when you can buy and export or 10 meter radio cheaper. I will stand by my original opinion the double digits are better for the money and the quality is as good if not better. I have never seen anyone arrested or fined for operating one in my short 13 years of playing on cb radios.
