Just an update I did fill out an application a couple of days ago. It don't hurt to at least maybe talk to them and get more details if I am invited for an interview.

Just an update. Today I got a text message and an email inviting me to an in person interview at Frito Lay. It is Thursday the 19th so I will be sure to ask a lot of questions and update again after my interview.

Yes, although you will usually hear back within a few days. The hiring manager was out on vacation or something like that so mine was a little delayed. I did go to the interview and when I have a little time later today I will update about that.

Okay so an update. I had an interview on Thursday. Upon arriving they had me fill out a quick release so they could check my background. I was interviewed by 2 people, one being the safety person and one the transportation supervisor. They were pretty friendly and they do ask a lot of oddball situational questions. They seemed to be pretty honest and explained the seniority system and the dispatch process. They were brutally honest about how physical the job is with the hand unloads and they told me upfront the work life balance is not very ideal while I am low on the totem pole, which I am single and live alone so that isn't that big of a deal right now. They money you can earn there is pretty decent they said first year as long as I am willing to work I should have no problem making 80k. 85% of the routes are home daily and the other 15% you will layover in a hotel. They do provide a corporate lodging card.

After about an hour long interview they told me they really liked me and would like me to work there. They said they are running my background and by the middle of next week I will receive an email with an offer and I would have 3 different start dates to choose from or I could simply decline to come to work there. That is basically how that process went. I am willing to answer any other questions anyone may have.
