Questions about getting cdl

well, I wouldn’t be trying to do this for another year as I am on once a month reporting probation until then. But I did think that there might be hope for me to try to find a job if I paid for my own cdl. I plan to work part time until then but am 43 and am a total failure and just want to change things. I posted here because I’m sure many of you are much more knowledgeable than me! Never really talked to many truckers tbh to even find out what’s out there as options. I got my degree in music education a long time ago and have struggled ever since then. Thank you all for being kind.

 

I’m going to google dump trucks and see what their driving experience requirements are too. It’s just any time I look at driving jobs with cdl a they want six months or a year of experience.

 

Am I eligible for the grant? I already have a bachelors degree. And then I have those misdemeanors. I am really struggling here. I really do regret most of the decisions I have made over the past ten years but genuinely want to turn everything around.

 

I think getting those two recent misdemeanors gave me the wake up call that I needed or something but yes I do want to change everything. Just not proud of who I am at all.
