I didn’t see a link relating to a number 20. Would you possibly mind re sending the link? I will read it.

I just clicked on it but it seems like it’s a link to getting high school education and a few other areas that don’t relate to wioa. I did email their office though as I found an email online to ask how to go about getting the wioa grant. At least it’s a possible step in the right direction. Of course, I’m a little worried - feeling like I won’t be able to find a job even if I am able to get cdl as everyone here is saying that even people with clean records are struggling to find a job. It’s worth exploring to me though if I can get the grant. I wouldn’t be trying to attend school for about a year though since I am on once per month reporting probation.

Stop worrying and get your cdl.
Yeah, that website is almost impossible to navigate.

Well I emailed them to inquire about how to get the grant. Will see what they have to say. And yeah, if they will give me a grant I will try to get it. Just a bit intimidated watching truck driving videos and everything that goes with pre checks! I’m actually very impressed by anyone who is able to get a cdl

Your cdl school instructors will teach you how to pass the Pre-Trip Inspection.

I hope so! I did email about the grant. Would like to see what they have to say. I am a very low income individual so it looks like my income would qualify me for the grant based on what I am reading.

Don't fear the pre-trip -or- the basic CDL testing process as that is exactly what the school will do; teach you HOW to get your CDL.

The rest of the learning process is actually on the job training; sometimes the hard way as mentioned above after learning on a single drive axle day cab with a 28 foot pup trailer [harder to back but easier in traffic and testing] when the reality of most jobs will be a tandem axle tractor and a 53 foot long trailer.

There are always small companies, and some not so small, in need of CDL drivers. Ohio is snowy country so there are places looking for plow help, etc.

Times may be hard right now but somewhere, somehow there is a seat for your butt.

While in school concentrate on what they teach you and look for as much backing practice as possible.
