    Good Day,
I never considered Lease Purchase until today thanks to this forum and looking into JCT and their website...USed to work some with their brokerage and they were always fair. Anyhow some questions, I guess about the basic operations...

    1. Is there a lot of produce hauling?
    2. What are the trucks governed at?
    3. Fueling options?
    4. Any East Coast hauling? (I like running Northeast)
    5. Physical..What does it entail? I have a new physical but I am sure they will want one. Sleep studies etc??
    6. What to expect from orientation?
    7. Can anyone speak to the honesty and integrity, overall friendliness of the company?
    8. How much experience required?

    Thanks!!

    1) Lots of produce out of California. About 40% for me so far.
    2) 68
    3) Fuel anywhere you want that takes EFS.
    4) Some east coast runs but not the norm.
    5) I used my current physical, believe if 6 months or newer can use yours.
    6) 2 Day orientation, basic information and picking out trucks.
    7) Been upfront with me about everything so far.
    8) Believe need at least 1 yr OTR.

    Good Luck.

Most of orientation is online modules. You dont have to do them before you get to Sapulpa but its to your benefit. The more you have done the quicker you can pic your truck and get out of there. The "worst" person to deal with is the DM who handles all the new drivers. Its easier to understand if you keep in mind he has more drivers than any other DM and all are new to the company. More than a few of those are going to be knuckleheads to go along with the silly mistakes all drivers make. I wouldnt want his job.

Also, remember that you will be running a small business and have to run it as one. You biggest controllable expense is fuel. A lot of people fail at L/P because they cannot control their cost. No one at JCT will tell when, where, or how much fuel to get. That is solely on you to decide that. They also won't make you take a load, but it is in your best interest to take every load you get.
