Get out and beat the bushes....go talk to the local folks....fuel companies/food-service companies/LTL companies are gonna be the best paying local jobs...each has it's own good AND bad...I did the food-service thing for over 30 years with the same compnay....did all right too, retired at 62 in 2011 and been having a ball since then...it's all about finding your niche....if you don't mind physical work , early hours , and delivering in some "not-so-good-areas" of town sometimes , then food service is the ticket...I can't really comment on the others , but some of these other local hands can..Good Luck....

Thanks! I'm just trying to explore my options and try other options other than OTR. Not that I don't want do it, again, thought I'd explore my options! I'd like to, ultimately, get a deal likewise to yours. I do wanna try a lot of different types of hauling in trucking to not only get the experience, but to find my niche - as you said! Thanks!
