I'm supposed to be in Ellenwood on the 25th as well, but waiting for the VA to send paperwork.

It looks like the VA dropped the ball (not the first time). I'm very disappointed I won't be starting with Roehl on Monday.

Do not expect the VA do get that done. GO THERE and ask your primary care provider for a quick letter stating that you are no longer on the medication and why you need it. I have had to do this 3 times. Just talk to the receptionist at whatever group you belong to. Hopefully they'll be helpful and get the doctor to do it. Make sure it is signed and dated. Also, in case no one mentioned this, the letter HAS TO SAY " Is no longer taking "X" medication and IS ABLE TO PERFORM JOB FUNCTIONS WITHOUT IT " or something to that effect. If no one will take the 5 minutes it takes to jot that out then go to patient advocacy and explain the situation. That's what I ended up having to do. It doesn't need to be fancy, I had a doctor half scribble mine out so I could go work in Kuwait as the meds I was prescribed were banned there. It was accepted with no problems. When it comes to VA I've realized if I can get it done myself it's more likely to get done.

I don't have a date scheduled for orientation yet. The recruiter said I would get that after the physical.

I'm out of Richmond, VA as well, though I'm flatbedding so I couldn't tell you what van loads are around there. Been here since last October and can't complain, Roehl has taken good care of me in several situations. I had Roehl put the inverter in my truck, just to let you know it has a two hour time limit and then times out for 10 hours, not an issue for me as I only use it for microwave then turn it off. I use the Coleman electric cooler and I have a lower wattage inverter that plugs in for my TV, laptop, etc.

Had physical today. No problems. Any idea how long it takes to get a date for orientation after that?

It all depends on the clinic sending the results to Roehl. I had my physical then called wondering. They didn't have the results. I was called the next day saying they got the results and im good to go. I had some issues to take care of at home but will be headed to orientation in Appleton starting Monday

If you took your physical on Wednesday, call your recruiter on Friday. And Monday. And Tuesday. You get the idea... It took four days for mine to show up; sometimes you just have to be the squeaky wheel.
