Each driver is given a score based on how well they perform. It includes on time performance, fuel mileage (changes every month), productivity. You can either earn or lose points. Things that would cause you to lose points would be safety events like an accident, intentionally damaging equipment, etc. The higher your score the more you make. They recently overhauled the pay. So currently you can go to a fluctuating model which pays the best or a fixed pay plan which only gives you a bonus and pay increases after a while. The only people complaining about not making money are the ones who go home after 11 days. The more you drive the more money you make. Roehl is all about getting you home. If you stay out for 11 days they will only keep you near somewhere they know they can get you home. I generally stay out a month or longer and I run all over. We haves tons of flatbed frieght out West but dry van will rarely see West of I35. I'm in the dry van division
