I have yet to see it mentioned of orientation about the simulators.......are they still in use? how closely are they tuned to the tmc 13spd? Are they more like a video game then actual driving practice? if still in use how much time they put you on them prior to gettin in the rig for the road tests? thx guys never been round a simulator yet just curious
As of 11/10 they still used the sims. Dont not call them a video game in there. They are very close to tge real thing and you are expected to act like you are in a real truck. While you wont do more than maybe a few hours on them, they put real life scenerios on em. Also the have the ACTUAL 13spd gear box on them so if you grind it will grind.
I did merc a deer on the sims. They need to get with the c.o.d. guys to get the blood splatter more realistic.
Why don't you give LoneStar Transportation a call. You'll start out making waaaaay better money than TMC will give you and with experience hauling heavy equipment you just might have an advantage with them since they have a heavyhaul division.
