Questions about Werner??

Good luck!!! I just heard that they are slowing a chunk of the trucks down to 61 to be more fuel efficient

 

Its 62, and they're starting with dedicated accounts, like anheuser busch and family dollar. They started turning down those fleets late last year. I haven't heard that they're expanding it into general fleets.

 

I'm at a truck stop just outside Allentown and the drivers northeast regional were beeching at they did it to their trucks

 

they turned down the home depot account not too long ago. we now run 61 used to be 65.

 

Ok. Let's get this straight. Does your cruise set at 61.5 or 60.5? You round up to get your governed speed, since they all used to top out at 64.5 when the governed speed was 65.

I know beggers can't be choosers for jobs but I would have to turn down a company if their trks was'nt governed at least 65.I'm a local driver and those trks are governed at 60 bec ause of too many speeding tickets.But that's local and my route speed is 55 so its not a big deal.But OTR,i'd have to stop every couple hundred miles just to get a nap,lol.

 

the trucks Werner has is at 61mph nothing higher then that.

I run 65mph and i know a lot of other drivers that runs the same

 

what type of tractors is werner running now? i've seen some new petes and kw's out there and the frieghtshakers too. i do have a question about the divisions, are they able to keep the vans and the flats running good.
