I've yet to see any private company utilize this service... they don't have to.

    • [h=3]Who has access to the information on the NDR?[/h]
      • - Any individual under the provisions of the Privacy Act.
        - State and federal driver licensing officials.
        - The Federal Railroad Administration and employers of locomotive operators.
        - The Federal Aviation Administration for airman medical certification.
        - The U.S. Coast Guard for merchant mariner certification.
        - The National Transportation Safety Board for accident investigations.
        - Federal Highway Administration for accident investigations.
        - Federal Agencies performing background investigations for employment.

Again, this is actually ideal... but with all the agencies involved and their individual restrictions on reporting, it is far from complete at this point.

    Simply letting drivers know,

that there is more than just an MVR check from the DMV.....

You can obtain a copy of your state MVR,

and it may NOT contain everything that I can pull up on you.

Not necessarily. Swift is in a class action lawsuit over this issue right now. An applicant saw his record and assumed that was the record that any company would be able to see, his record was clean, got prehired, went to orientation, and lo and behold Swift could see a lot more than he could see and opted not to hire him.

Here's a link to a recent article about the cases (apparently more than one lawsuit):
