Good if u have a truck that runs. If you are like the majority of us the truck will break down all the time so not a lot of money. Roll of dice. But the workers are friendly. We have less horror stories here than at other mega companies

I like the new q&a system they got going on. I said my tire melted and 5 minutes later they said someone was coming out.

Then 5 minutes later said they didn't have a as.

Then 5 minutes later a dif company was dispatched.

    No phone call...
    No waiting on hold....
No argument.... Was great and prompt.

How long it will last is TBD.

We all know how long Saul's improvements to rs lasted.... Approx 1 week then back to the same ole crap.

Of course this was at like 2 am Joplin time.... So.... Yeah. Who knows about days.

Daytime driving ..... Dayshift balogna :puke:

    Former conway..

sometimes miles were good... seemed they would run you a week with great miles and screw you the next.
In W.Memphis.. had to run to Byliah (30 miles) (took a hour and half due to bad direction) to relay a load back up to W.Memphis they said to run the load
my recent downfall with them was a a run from W.Memphis to denver (good miles to start a monday) ... wrong BOLs waited 5 hours for the issue to be solved .. then I was asked it ask the receiver to reloaded the trailer to drive it 15 miles. Receiver said no (LOL).. they kept the load and had to figure it out with conway.

New load from Denver to Colorado Spring.. 2 drops..
first load appt. time 5am... the place did not start receiving till 7am.
second appt time 6am.. at 5:45 I got a qualcom message asking why I was going to by late..

At 5am I call FM and I got some dipsh*t ######### pr*ck that ask me how come I was telling them they didnt receive till 7.. did I read it on the door... NO Stupid ####### the guy (manager)that runs the place told me..... The same manage that has run the place for the past 12 years that tells you guy every month *** THEY DO NOT RECEIVE TILL 7AM!***

finally got unloaded at first drop... oh boy.. second drop 2 block down the street.. yay. no mile on this one .. but got the 2nd load drop pay ..
5 hours sitting there for a hand unload...

back to denver for a load head to Penn... Its Friday morning Im in Saline Ks.. Qualcom goes off at 7am. Im to take my load to a drop yard in KC MO..
Im thinking ok.. drop and hook and head back to the west.. made the relay..

I get the message that the next load goes to Cassville MO (200 mile from KC) delivers monday morning at 9am..
to top it offf I had to waait 6 hour for the load... that wasnt even loaded yet.
Once I got to Joplin Saturday.. I wasnt going to get dispatched till 3am monday morning..
I was going to sit at this drop yard all weekend ...

even though I live close to Joplin and Cassville.. I was told I could not go home under this load

Like I said... this was my experience with Con-Way truckload..
oh.. their sign on bonus doesnt exist... fuel bonus program is a freaking joke...

I think they go by how many miles you have driven. At least that's how raises are. Been here almost 9 months and haven't hit the raise. When joined the company they said at 6months. Later found out its 60k miles to get a raise, still haven't hit that at 9 months

    Wannabes....

    Not really owner ops.

Just employees that use their own truck (if they actually have it paid and own it xD)

    Find your own loads lazy.

You have almost all of the downside risks of owning your own business, but your upside is capped at $1.30-$1.40/mile. With the Christmas rush, freight is paying $3-4/mile now, but company independent contractors (an oxymoron if I've ever heard one) aren't benefitting from the capacity they're providing.

You'd be better off leasing on with a company that pays percentage -- then you'll discover that its better to take a 300 mile $900 load instead of a 500 mile $750 load.
