Is 60 minutes total divided in 10 minutes. More like 9 mim and 50 seconds, you don't want go over 10 minutes in one call time when driving or on duty. But you can talk more off duty. Like on 30 minutes break. You can use this for a longer phone call, and it does not take from the 60 or is an infraction against company phone policy. This also include the 10 hours rest, you can put yourself off duty for 2 hours to do your shower, eat and why not phone use, also it does not add as a penalty on your daily 60, but you will 'need 8 hours sleeper berth marked on your clock daily to show you had sleep time.' Whatsup.
theres no sleeper split here. full 10 in sleeper. your paid layover is 10 in sleep berth. you can call and text all you want not on the driveline.
Do you sleep the whole 10 hours? Every minute of it? Drive line, you are not driving in your break or the first 2 hours when you are in bed watching a movie, taking a shower, reading, or talking on the phone to fall sleep, is all the same. You can not be in sleeper berth and take a shower, eating, etc. But yeah, if you talk 4, 5, 8 hours on he phone when you should be sleeping a least 8 hours, and you crash next day. This will show up strangely on your phone record. Is not a 8/2 split. The law is that your graph have to show 8, 9, 10 hours in sleeper, not 10 hours on off duty only, you have to show 8 hours on sleeper. I will check again this phone policy.
Working walmart SMYRNA DE directly means three week thorough orientation/training.They say they are NOT a trucking company but a RETAILER with trucks. They have Three day thorough driving assessment 30 to 40 min you driving each day just you & the assessment tester. They make sure you can shift/ pretrip/ backing correctly each day. Fail the final day 3 test? Your last shot is day 4. It will be a yes or a no after your done. If fail you wait 6 months to reapply. The next two weeks your with a trainer observing you and paperwork/delivery training. They have a long list policies to abide by or your gone. Slip seating two to three trucks a week. Sleeper area I wouldn't sleep in. Strict phone policy. No watching videos/socialmedia video while driving. No talking on phone more 10minute on drive line one touch dial. Pay is well. Uniform they give stays on from the time u arrive to work to when you leave for hometime/sleeperberth.
Can you park at any Walmart even the ones that don’t allow trucks .....? Even if you aren’t delivering to that particular store...?
unfortunately you cant park at some walmarts especially the ones that has no truck parking. May can ask if made delivery at one of those kind of lots.
