    I agree completely!

    Look around you on the road and at the truckstops, shippers and recievers...The worst drivers are overwhelmingly driving for the giant training companies!
    NONE of the big companies have adeqate training...

    Some are better than others but NONE are good!
    Small companies generally have to be run better in order to survive because they don't have the cash flow that a huge mega carrier has and they can't "play the percentages" like the mega carriers when it comes to safety. A bad accident can put a small company under so they'll be inclined to make shure you are really ready before they send you out there alone.

    If you were trained by a large carrier it doesn't mean that you are necessarily a bad driver but a lot of your co workers are...

    As someone who works for a small company, 18 trucks, while a large company will sometimes (not always) pay better, your just a number. A small fleet, even 100 trucks, your a name and a number (in my case I'm only a number when it comes to payroll) and the companies will generally treat you better.
