in the direction you want to go, and I'll follow it !! But make sure you distinguish between left and right, otherwise we can wind in The Guiness Book of World Records for running the most miles while staying in a 4 block area !!! We might be on Ripleys Believe it or Not for missing every single concert that we had booked for a year !!

it figures it would be a gps that ruins your entire weekend because it won't tell you that the concert is now in your rear view mirror because the stinkin' road crew city workers were too lazy to take the barriers down. and it doesn't tell you that you can just as easily park your car "here" and walk 50 ft. to that building right in front of your eyes. the whole time you're looking at the gps , the concert is goin' on !!!! you'd think the engineers would realize how important concerts are to some people and get their act together !!

Thanks to the GPS (it was new, so I had to figure it out), when it said 'arrive at destination' for like the 20th time, I hit the 'parking lot' thing on the GPS...and it parked me directly across the road from the door to the place, just took me up another street or 2 & pulled into the lot. And there it was...crazy...:biggrin_25521:

Seinfeld !!! very funny !! by the time you actually figure out how these things work these days, you've missed breakfast, lunch, dinner and the bedtime snack ! your whole day's shot just looking at the stinkin' thing like a lunatic ! it's almost as if they are running some kind of psychotic experiment on the masses to see how well we can comprehend things from outer space.

and I got the easy one, like I said, it was brand new. I compared a lot of them before buying one...and I really didn't have time to read directions before leaving...directions are online after you register. But you're right about the electronics & stuff now days. Gotta hire that "geek squad" to come show you how to use your new remote control :biggrin_25513:

and actually make any sense out of it, the concert will be over and already in the next city. it's really funny, they oughta make a funny movie with all this stuff. the next thing you know, they'll have a remote that opens and closes the toilet for cryin ' out loud. now I know the women would rip each other apart waiting in line to buy that one.

I went to my local high school and asked them if I could speak to the drivers-ed class as a professional driver. we set a date and I arranged with the company to be in town. took the rig and spoke to the class. after our little class ,I took them out to the truck for a tour. As we were standing around the front of the truck,I had the instuctor park his car in the "blind spot" behind the trailer, the asked if anyone would like to tour the cab. after asking them what they saw,not one of them spotted the car, until after it was shown to them. There were some students doing some thinking after class. The point being, instead of gripping, get out a do somthing about it!! Trucker buddies is a good place to start, get em young, teach em early. they still want to learn..:biggrin_255:

My daughter did a project for school 2 years or so ago about this subject. She usede to go on the road with me over the summers and she had the chance to see first hand how it is. Yes she used to be in the car yelling at the slow truck, but now she sits in the truck and observes the cars. When she did her project, she included articles and pictures of accidents involving cars and trucks, explaining to her class mates, don't always take your parents word for the gospel that they know how to drive the greatest out there. Alot of her friends ended up comeing to her over about the next week or so and telling they had gotten yelled at and told off by their parents for pionting out they're bad driving habits, But I think it helped open their eyes to how we see it and what they can do to stay out from under my trailer!! But Thank you, thank you very much for maybe helping save one more person's life through putting them in our shoes for even just 30 seconds of their life.:biggrin_25514:
