    Well the minute I hit the jakes I've noticed pyro goes way down to below 500, maybe you have a retarder not a Jake that will raise oil temps if you leave it on for awhile

    Well, I might be wrong. I thought the Jakes moved higher pressure air away from the pistons and let it decompress further down the line. I'm not a mechanic though, and I agree that extended use does seem to get the oil and water temperatures up a bit, and cause the fan to kick on more than driving on flat ground.
