Ask him how long he's been a driver and how long he's been a trainer.

If he's a six month wonder just focus on learning company policies from him.

If he has a lot of experience you might want to ask him about situations he's got into and how he got out of them. Ask about pre trip and maintenance, how to spot issues before they become a problem. How to secure loads, scale loads and make sure they're loaded right. Other than that just listen. Carefully.

You should ask your trainer to show you the "Georgia Overdrive."

So? If it ain't right when they fill it up, not my prob. :p

Edit: And if you need it turned off, just nose in beside a nosed-in flatbed or tanker at11:30pm at a busy Pilot. It will be off when you wake up.

How to get miles at your company of choice. If he dosent know how, he's your typical lazy driver, and you will have to learn from other guys how to keep moving, when everyone else is sitting.

Ask your questions then Shut up and Listen. If you get a good trainer being a good listener will be important
