    Western Express expressed an interest in offering me a refresher program. 2 day orientation, 2 day refresher, then would have to team with another driver for 25000 miles. Flatbed freight.

    WOOT! Abilene says 1.5 day orientation, 1-3 weeks with a trainer, and all I have to do is pass their physical, which hopefully won't be a problem, considering I just passed a DOT physical with my doc for a 2 year card. I just hope because I'm a bigger guy, (6'2" 300lbs) that they don't try to push a sleep study on me. I really don't need the extra time off :)

    And...if they send you to a company doctor to re-take your dot exam then they probably will at least graze the topic. It's all the rage now.

    Can't speak specifically for Abilene, but I'll toast to a sleep-test-free job right?

    Absolutely. I just want to get my notice finished at my current employer, get this physical taken care of, and get out on the road!
