I'd go "off duty". Being in the sleeper while Mikey the mechanic is working on your truck isn't likely. Mechanics don't want to be bothered by drivers climbing in and out or possibly hitting the start switch. Just working underneath and having a driver rolling around the bunk might shake some debris into the mechanics eyes. Plus, how else can they take 10 hours to do a 3 hour job if the driver is nearby, lurking ?

That's funny, I've only been asked to get out of the truck once in ten years! I woke up once in Oklahoma, and found myself locked in the shop!
